It looks like this right now on the website:

This is all sorts of messed up, I think.

The subscribe box is styled pretty weird in terms of its placement (no padding, all the way to the left)
The links for the socials don't have any logos, which makes them difficult to distinguish between the text links to pages
There are links to things in the footer that are important but only exist in the footer. Probably the CoC should not only be there!

Draft Redesign

Right now, it is replaced with this:

There is a single row, with a copyright notice, simple and small subscribe form, and prominent links to socials with their logos. I think this is a better starting point, and does not provide any jarring visual differences from the rest of the page. It might be colored differently, or something like that, and there might be other links included. Suggestions welcome.
