Currently

The calendar page on the on the website looks like this: image

It is a mostly-unstyled Wordpress plugin that produces a standard calendar. I think we could probably do better than this.

The Website Team currently does not have any tickets associated to this page or any design work associate to it in this document.

Can we have a pull-out with the next week's "new member friendly" events? It'd be cool if a new person could see that quickly.

Based on @thejenbo good ideas, made some mockups:

First is maybe a tabbed layout.

B is a dashboard type of thing, don't mind the proportions, it's just the idea.

C is a carousel up top, and maybe some marquee at the bottom.

D is a grid with an omitted full calendar that is linked on a separate page.

Another idea is to have something like A, where there are tabs that filter a fixed calendar, while maintaining a callout for the next general meeting. I think that's my favorite idea right now.
